India has the second-largest arable land resources in the world. With 20 agri-climatic regions, all the 15 major climates in the world exist in India. The country also has 46 of the 60 soil types in the world. India is the largest producer of spices, pulses, milk, tea, cashew, and jute, and the second largest producer of wheat, rice, fruits and vegetables, sugarcane, cotton, and oil seeds. Further, India is second in the global production of fruits and vegetables and is the largest producer of mango and banana.

Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for about 58% of India’s population. Under Agriculture and farmers development programs Matrix has formed and doing  capacity building of 8 FPOs in Gurugram and Nuh Districts of Haryana. In these 8 FPOs there is more than 30,000 farmers involved and are getting benefitted from the same. All the FPOs getting capacity building trainings and handholding by Matrix Society are graded very good on the grading scales developed by NABARD are performing very well on every scale.

Matrix Society has conducted several Capacity building and adoption of new technologies exposure visits of the farmers where they got to know and adopt new and improved technological innovations used to increase the productivity.

Matrix Society with the support from NABARD has implemented Dairy development programs in Haryana, where farmers were trained and exposed to various techniques to increase milk production and breeding techniques. This program had a very positive impact on the income levels of small and marginal farmers.
